Self Portriats

Since Mummy's got her new camera, I've been playing with its various mode.
Now I know the camera better than her and my papa.
All photos in this post taken by me.

Me and my bookshelf
Actually it's our coffee table but the shelf below is full of my books.

Me and Rubbish Girl
She's my mummy's baby sister.
which explains why my mummy sometimes call me her name.
That day, Mummy called her "Hann".

T for Tricycle

Photograph taken by me, Hann.
but Mummy cropped it.

Instead of forming words with these magnetic alphabets, I use them to make pictures.
This is a tricycle.
I made it with no help or prompts at all. My very own creation.
Nice?

Mummy was impressed that I used the word "attach" to describe the middle part of the tricycle.
I told her it's to "attach the wheels together".

All pictures and videos in this post taken by me, Hann.

I woke up earlier than Mummy for our afternoon nap.
Mummy's really tired from School.
I didn't disturb her and started working on the camera.

I'm more into videos these days.

When we got into the car, going away from the zoo, I told my papa to "bring me to a cold aircon restaurant."
"Do you have money?" asked papa.
"no," i replied.
"Then how can you go to a restaurant?" Papa challenged.
"You pay mah." I answered.
"Why must I pay?" Papa questioned.
"because... you tall already!"

Ah Meng Cafe & Fraglie Rainforest

As mentioned, I'm learning to take videos now.
I'm trying to capture the route from the lift to my papa's car in this video.

自拍!
taken by myself on the car.
See that scar on my face?
*sad*

Our Zoo membership is expiring so my parents decided to take me to the zoo.

~ photo taken from http://www.soshiok.com

Went for lunch at Ah Meng Restaurant.
I call it the Orang Utan Restaurant.

The food's...
not nice.

My papa said no wonder all the sad faces :< on the wall of the restaurant.
Check out another Ah Meng Cafe at Orchard Road instead.
The food's so much better.
Nope, they're not related to the one at the zoo.

After lunch, we went to our all time favourite local in the zoo - the Fragile Rainforest.

I was narrating the frog's life cycle but it was too noisy here so u can't hear what I say in this video.

We like the Fragile Rainforest cos we can see the animals up-close.
and they're animals I read from my books.

turtles on 独木桥!

sloth from the zoo's quarterly ‘Wildlife Wonders” Magazine.

My parents wanteda bring me to the zoo again this weekend...
but I'm down with fever now...
boohoohoo

Please pray that I'll get well soon so I can go to the zoo!

Nothing about wedding though.
Not exactly interesting but as long as it's Thomas, it's interesting to me. haha.

I'm still not good at videos.
stay tuned to see my improvement.

Previously, I couldn't do it by myself.

But today, I completed the 123 Train all by myself!

Still need some help with the ABC train though.

Rainbow

Since my papa got cable tv for our house, i've been watching a lot of tv, to my mummy's dismay.
but it was good for me cos I was not interested in anything earlier on, not even my favourite videos.
Playhouse Disney got me up and out of my bed.

Mummy's not happy with me watching so much tv though.
but at least the programmes are educational and non-violent.

Mummy decided that she should do some "follow-up" on the programmes I've watched - opportunity teaching kinda thing.

It was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the episode Mickey's Color Adventure.
Colours start draining from the clubhouse, and the gang search for objects of each color of the rainbow to feed into the rainbow colour machine.

Mummy decided to teach me the order of the colors of the rainbow using the song in the episode: Red - Orange - Yellow. Green - Blue - Purple.
and let me paint a rainbow.
I love painting!

Mummy also sang a chinese song about Rainbow which she used to help her remember the order of the colors of the rainbow when she was young:
彩虹 彩虹 天边一条彩虹
红橙黄绿蓝 真美丽
加上紫色 更美丽

and she wonders why all these rainbow songs are one color short.

Me helping to prepare the table for painting.
You can see how thin I've become in this photo.

before i start painting my rainbow, we read a story about Rainbow - Noah and the Ark and looked at different pictures of the rainbow.

Mind you, not all drawn pictures of the rainbow has the correct order of the colors, even the rainbow color collector in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is of the opposite order.

We prayed and thanked God for making the rainbow, colours and for his promise.

Red
Red...

Green
Green...

it was raining outside that day.
Mummy said, "let's see if there's a rainbow later."
Hann held the painting of his rainbow up towards the sky and said, "There!"

My Rainbow!
~picture taken by me~

somehow the brouche of the Verner Panton Exhibition dropped out and in was so in line with what we had learnt for the day. we discussed about how Verner Panton used colours.

"Colour planning is of utmost importance …
I myself normally work with parallel colours
whose tones follow consecutively according to
the order of the spectrum. In this way, I can
control the character of the room in terms of
warmth and coolness and thereby create the
desired atmosphere.” ~Verner Panton

Korkors and jiejies who are taking physics or took physics before, how do you remember the order of the colours of the rainbow?
Share in the comments, k?

We also went to the library to read about Rainbow and the Water Cycle.

We especially love this one:
The Drop Goes Plop
by Sam Godwin
A fun journey by a drop of water.
We highly Recommend this book to all toddlers who loves water.
