I actually copied the name of the shop as "Ghee Fong" and when I did a search on the net, I couldn't find this bakery.

Then I recalled that my sister, mikan, blogged about this bakery before and when I looked it up, the name of this bakery is Sing Hon Loong Bakery which is miles away from "Ghee Fong".

Check out their mosaic floor tiles.

Quite a few people wrote about Sin Hon Loong but I wasn't sure if Sin Hon Loong's the one featured in "Old Places" until I saw this photo:photo taken from curiosityfillsthecat.blogspot.com

So Sin Hon Loong is its official name while Ghee Leong is the nickname?

mmm... wanta try out their kaya guyu bread though the review from curiosityfillsthecat.blogspot.com
is not great.

again, I've not been to any bread factories cos like coffee powder, we had an uncle who delivers bread to our door steps.
We can him Loti Zek (Bread Uncle).
He carries a large metal box and would walk along the corridors selling bread of all kinds.
In his later years, he can't walk so much so he would park his van in the carpark downstairs and we'll go and buy bread from him.
That was more than 10 years ago and I wonder how is he doing now.
