puzzles revisited 之 123 Train

~ picture taken from www.toysrus.com

Yesterday, I asked Mummy to let me play with my Giant ABC and 123 Express puzzle.
Previously, I couldn't do it by myself.

But today, I completed the 123 Train all by myself!

Still need some help with the ABC train though.

puzzles revisited 之 baby animals

Mummy dug out my old Infantino Peek-a-boo Animal Puzzles.

~ picture taken from www.infantino.com

This was a gift from Aunty Rachel for my 1st birthday.

You're supposed to make the animal to its home and when you open up the home, u'll be able to see the animal's baby.

When I was 1-year-old, I cannot match the animal to his home without 1st lifting up the tabs to reveal the baby animals before I can match them to their mummies.

now at 3-year 4months, I can match the animals to their homes effortlessly. Then lift up the tabs to see their babies.

After matching each pair, I place them side-by-side to form a long "train".

Thanx again for this puzzle, Aunty Rachel.

More Puzzles

Saw this puzzle at Thomson Plaza.
It's quite like what my Grand-Uncle challenged my mummy to but easier
and also a more difficult level of I had done previously.

I listened intensely as the sales girl jiejie explaining how to play.

You've gotta rearrange the nine tiles to link shark to fish, boat to lighthouse, etc as specified in each question in the booklet.

Please, Papa, open for me.
I'm so eager to play, I want to start the moment we got home.

Like that izzit?

Huh?! Colours of the paths must match too?
a bit too difficult for me leh.
afterall, it's meant for 5-year-olds.
like that can lah.

We also saw the "World Famous Places" & "World Animals" puzzles.

I only have the "Famous Places" puzzle and am looking for the "World Animals",
but but but...
the price is more than 4 times of what we bought it for woh...
We bought it at $6.80 from Japan Home (but it's out of stock now)
while they are selling at $29.90 at Thomson Plaza.
So Mummy didn't buy.

For those interested, you can get it online from Right to Learn.

Mummy was so suay.
She bought 2 sets of the Famous Places puzzles from Japan Home
and the set for me has one missing piece.
boohoohoo.

but Thanx God, there is no "famous place" on the missing piece - Arctic.

I love puzzles still.
but only in the absence of Thomas.

70-Piece Puzzle

All photos in this post except the one with me inside (last picture) are taken by me, Hann.

I have Mickey Mouse Puzzle, Thomas the Train Puzzles...

now I've got a Doraemon Puzzle!

They're all my favourite cartoon characters.

Last Weekend, I did both my Thomas Puzzles (see box in the background), and a new Puzzle (63-Piece).
On Sunday morning, when I woke up, I asked Mummy, "got puzzle?"

So Mummy brought us back to the Marina Sq Puzzle Shop to get more puzzles.
This is one of them.

My parents were amazing that I could complete the puzzle all by myself on my 2nd attempt. and without any supervision.
1st attempt with lotsa help from Mummy. She thought it's too difficult for me.
Well.. I guess the picture on the puzzle does help.
I think this doreamon puzzle is easier than my Thomas puzzles.
Now Mummy regrets getting one instead of 2 doreamon puzzles.

Me happy!
at 2 years 2 Months, I can do 70-piece puzzle all by myself.

Mickey and Puzzles

Me working on the shape-puzzle.

There! I did this myself. It's Mickey!

Since I went to HongKong Disneyland, whenever I see 3 circles arranged this way, I'll say "Mickey".

This photo is taken by me. It's a puzzle I've been working on for about a month now.

Although it's a 50-piece puzzle, it's still challenging to me cos the shape of some pieces are "odd" (brinjal shaped, mushroom shaped, etc), not like the usual puzzles.

Mummy bought it from this puzzle shop at Marina Square during the June Holidays.

She saw that although I could do the 60-piece Thomas Puzzle, I lack confidence, wanting her to supervise me when I do the puzzles. so she decided to "back track" and let me do a 50-piece puzzle instead.

Some1 please get these 3D puzzles for me. =)

they're 60-piece puzzles. Mummy didn't buy them cos she thinks it may be too difficult for me. imagine the back of doraemon's head and also mickey and minnie's head... they're all in solid colours, no lines, no pictures, nothing. so she figgured it should be quite difficult.

but I think I'll love them. so cute right?

Here's a song from Mickey Mouse's clubhouse which I'm in love with.

Mummy loves it too.

Brain Games: 聪明转转弯

This is another Brain Game Mummy bought from Popular: 聪明转转弯
You're supposed to link the objects on one side of the card to the other side using the "tracks".
Mummy thought it was a really easy game cos the tracks are all in straight lines! That's for Level 1.
but it's not easy for me...
I love to play this game though. more than the Geometric Shapes.

See me working seriously.

Brain Games: Geometric Puzzle

Mummy bought a few Brain Games for me during the Popular Sale.
This is one of them.

These cards come in 3 levels and they're magnetic!

Did this with lotsa help from Mummy. I filled in the "blades" myself though.

I don't really care about the levels though. I just pick what I like to do.

This set of Geometric Puzzle is still a big challenge to me.

Hmm... what shall I do next?

See the Popular shopping bags in the background. heh.

Although I'm not pro at this Puzzle but it really helped to enforce the idea of geometric shapes on me.

Now when I see circles (like the opening to a drain), and squares (like the tiles on my toilet floor), I can point out to Mummy and say, "Circle", "Square", etc.

60-piece puzzles

It's been a long time since I post on me doing puzzles.

actually I work on them everyday. but they're the same 2 sets of 60-pieces Thomas&Friends Puzzles Mummy bought from Yahoo Auctions.

I work on them everyday with Mummy's guidance. they're quite challenging for me and I have no confidence to do them on my own. but I still love to work on them cos I love Thomas&Friends!

Putting in the last piece.
Yesterday, I finally completed one of the puzzles all on my own.
Mummy was so happy.
but I still want her to sit and see me put every piece together even though she didn't help me.

Photo taken by Hann.
Mummy passed me the camera so that I can snap my complete work.

another photo by Hann.
She was very happy and proud of my accomplishment:
able to put 60-piece puzzle together at 25 months.

Yeah! I'm going to start on the 2nd set immediately after I'm done with the 1st.

here I go again!

I like to line up my car puzzles like a train after complete them.

I still need a tiny weeny little bit of help with this 50-pc farm puzzle. Mummy regretted not buying the safari set of the same series.

Gi...

All pictures, other than the last one, in this post are taken by Hann.

Can you guess what's this?

Need more clues?

Shh.. he's hiding...

He has a long neck.

Oops.. pardon my leg.

This one's better!

It's a 30-piece Infantino's Giant Jigsaw Mummy bought from Kids' Bazaar at United Sqaure.
It was challenging even for Mummy cos most of the pieces look almost the same. Sometimes, she'll hold one piece of the puzzles, tried for sometime and say, "Oh! Mummy also don't know," and give up. I will then take over, figure it out myself before showing her how.
I did half of it on my own. =)

Mummy, take a picture of me next to Giraffe.

btw, this is my 1st time wearing this Doraemon shirt from HK. =)

Great Deal for Puzzles

Me and my puzzles again!
Hope you're not sick of it cos I'm not!
I work on puzzles everyday!

on Auntie Shirley's recommandation, Mummy went to look for cheaper puzzles in the neighbourhood shops and found these at $1 each! cheap! cheap! Cheap!

They come in 12-pieces and 40-pieces.

I can do the 12-pieces on my own now. ready to more on but can't find any puzzles between 12 - 40 pieces...
