Save the Earth this Christmas

Christmas presents for our friends and ah-yi-s.

Can you believe that Mummy didn't use a single piece of wrapping paper for all these beautifully "wrapped" gifts?

"It is estimated that over Christmas as much as 83 square km of wrapping paper will end up in UK rubbish bins, enough to cover an area larger than Guernsey!"
~ taken from Friends of the Earth

So this year, Mummy set out to wrap all the presents without using any wrapping paper! or at least without any new paper of wrapping paper. =) She recycled one from my birthday present wrapper and one leftover from wrapping some other presents months, or years ago.

Some alternatives to wrapping papers: (top right to left in picture)
1. plastic bags (see that cute little lamb? nice right?)
2. paper bags from your shopping centre (taka's rose)
3. brochure for the product you're giving as a gift (SK2's)
4. clothes are pretty themselves so you just have to roll it up and add a ribbon.
5. gifts themselves already come in beautiful boxes so just add ribbon.

Ribbons give the unconventional "wrappers" a touch of glamour and the joy for the receivers in "openning" the presents. They're Mummy's signature anyway, so they're a must-have!

If you haven't wrapped your Christmas presents... Save the Earth!
