1st day at new school

not jade but Hann said..

My First Day at the new school.
Am very happy that Mummy send me to school.

Teacher introducing me to my classmates who are playing with some connectors before breakfast.

Breakfast: Oats with milk.
Mummy was shocked to see that I was only given half (or less than half) a cup of milk with about 1/4 of cups oats.
Later she realised that the serving is actually 3/4 cup (see my classmates').
The teacher was worried that I didn't like it so gave me less.

waiting outside the toilet.
I can read the words 男 and 女!

actually, waiting time is mostly reading time.
although most kids just take a book and chat with their friends instead.

lesson time!
our N2 class is separated into two by a "partition".
The school is open concept hence mummy was worried that I will not like the noise.
So far so good for lesson time.

The schedule is quite different from Eager Beaver's though.
At EB, we have one hour of lesson in the morning and another hour in the afternoon.
over here it's English, Math, plus Chinese consecutive, each 45 mins in the morning,
and afternoons are for enrichment lessons.
Mummy prefers the latter cos she can bring me for other stuff in the afternoon and I will not miss lessons but worried that I can't adapt to the long hours of teaching.

She said Teacher if I was ok with the lessons and Teacher said I was "very ok".
*beam*

Har? Green bean soup for afternoon tea?
I don't like bean soups whatever colour they are.
but Mummy said I have to eat and finish it since I eat everything in Eager Beaver.
I'm actually fussy with food at home.
With lotsa prompting from Mummy and Teachers,
I managed to finish my serving.

Music and Movement time.
After tea break and water, Mummy herded me to the gathering area for Music and Movement and asked me to sit with my friends.
I told her, "I haven't decide who is my friend."
So she said, "ok. sit with your classmates then."
So I did.
and I did enjoy myself for awhile cos I didn't really want join in but wanteda go home.
I told teacher that it was too noisy.

Overall, I had fun in school today.
Teacher also told Mummy that I didn't have any problem adapting and that she has trained me well.
In Mummy heart, she thinks it was Eager Beaver who has done a great job and not her.

Oh! a girl from my class gave me a chocolate.
Though Mummy will usually confiscate such junk food, she decided that she will let me eat this piece of chocolate.
She told me that it's a welcome gift from the girl.

Hann's Mummy said,
"though sad that Hann has left Eager Beaver and feel that EB teaches discipline better than the new school, after reading some1's blog about trusting God's provision, I decide to count the positive effects of sending Hann to the new school:

1. more time together as a family in the evening (managed to send every1,except myself who is having gastric pain, to bed before 11pm)

2. more time to coach Hann at home. (today, we learnt about the continents of the world after hann fixed a world map puzzle and practised on the keyboard)

3. I can send and fetch Hann to and fro school.

4. Hann's papa won't have to drive for one hour (office - hann's school - home) after work.

5. meimei is forced to wake up in the morning to send korkor to school so she won't z all the way until noon. Hopefully, she'll z more peacefully and earlier at night though she already starts to z thru' the night.

So, thank you, God and we pray that indeed Your purpose prevails and Your purpose is good.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version)

"Many are the plans in a man's heart,

but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails."
Proverbs 19:21 (New International Version)
