Potty

Warning: The picture below may cause discomfort.
Make sure you're not eating anything before scrolling down.

We didn't really make attempts to potty train Hann since his school is not doing it until he's 30months. Teacher reassured us that by then it'll be easy and fast for him to be toilet trained (sounds like a dog) because the classroom is just opposite toilet and seeing other kids do it, he will soon pick up too.

at home, we do try to ask him to use the potty just before shower and usually he doesn't want to.
Then one day, my father (Ah-gong) showed up at our house with a new potty for Hann.
He was shocked that Hann is not using the potty at 25months.

still, Hann doesn't use the potty.
I thought he thinks it a toy.

Then, today...

I left Hann alone in the living room to do something in the kitchen, as usual.
Then I sensed that he was very quiet.
I went to check and saw him with the potty below him.
think he was trying to get up.
and.. there was poo in the potty!

best part was...
he took out his diaper himself.
I was so amazed that he could
1. poo in the potty,
2. took out the diaper and sit in the potty before moving his bowels,
3. go to the potty when he wanteda poo.

silly as it may sound, but my father and I were worried that delayed potty training may cause him to reject using one.

so I was quite happy when I saw what I saw.

for a moment, I wondered how to empty the potty. haha.

then i recalled emptying my sister's potty when she was young.
(It's payback time again, YY. You can empty Hann's potty when he goes to Ah-Gong's house.)

When Hann saw me washing the potty, he said he wants to wash it too.
I allow him to after I washed it.

He then put the potty back without me teaching him how to.

He has a bit of problem with the cover though.

ha.

Mummy's proud of you, Hann. Clever boy.

I laughed when I read this post. So funny, especially when I saw the photo and realised why you placed a warning. Haha!

I think Hann is really a very bright and clever boy! Never fail to amaze me with what he can do at his age! Wow! :)
